Protect your eyes - More Onions to study!
Here are 6 photos which I believe they are all the same Allium species - Allium subhirsutum.
Do you confirm?
Photo 1a -1b -1c taken near the coast of Ramla
[1b and 1c same specimen population]
Photo 2a and 2b taken from Clapham Junction
[2a and 2b same specimen]
Photo 2c from Mistra Valley. I have a bit of doubt on this particular photo if it is A. sunhirsutum. (maybe an A.roseum with lack of colour?!?!)
Well I leave you to study the photos. I am sorting my onions!

No No..., I was refering to Pic 2c which is the 6th photo in the list actually! I only have a little doubt on this one.Sdravko wrote:definitely A. subhirsutum. Pic 2 is actually a young inflorescence still parially enclosed by the spatha.
The slight differences I see are:
- Overlapping tepals
- Yellowish ovary
- Denser inflorescence
- Maybe smaller stamens ?
