Is it really Fumana hybrid

Is this Fumana thymifolia, the hybrid between Fumana thymifolia and Fumana arabica that Weber's mentions in his book or perhaps another Fumana sp.?

Flower diameter 1cm c. , reddish marks at petal base petals do not overlap completely.

Not scarce, so should not be a "wow plant"

yes I think so- we call it F arabica x F. thymifolia (p 204)- until the stage of a new species has not to be proved and published, but I could imagine due to the constant characteristics that it will be a new one!

- but we met a young Maltese expert who let the cat out of the bag that he found a new species, but due to the name or location: Mum`s the word!

Looks like that we leave always an untrustworthy mark in Malta.

You are not alone. Some ppl wants to eat the cake alone while other thinks they are the only cake-bakers in Malta.

I did not understand the expression "Mum's the word " - should be a german expression

I found this term in the dictionary and it means "not to break a secret"
