The first is the common Ferrusacia folliculus (Gmelin, 1791) which is sometimes even found in gardens but is more common in garigues.
The second is Tudorella sulcata melitense (Sowerby, 1843) which is now recognised as an endemic very common garigue species. Another similar species is found in Malta but is confined to San Anton Gardens.
Cheers

Is this photographed specimen also Tudorella sulcata melitense ? It was found abundantly at tal-Magun, Qala.
Is it the same as Pomatias sulcatus?

Are the common garigue specimens usually all the endemic species or there are other Tudorella sulcata which are not melitense in Malta?
