I'm sure you've seen this kind of mollusc a thousand times but have you ever wondered what kind of mollusc is it? Habitat? What does it feed on? Is it nocturnal or diurnal? Info about the Clausilid snail is scarce on the internet! Is it rare? Endemic? The only thing i got was that this mollusc was previously thought to be endemic. Can anybody post some info or perhaps suggest a book about molluscs?
Thanks

I've never seen this mollusc active.

no man needs a holiday as much as the man who just had one.
Loads of them stuck to the wall in my garden but I have never seen one move, they all look dead. I used to supply the Natural History Museum with books ( Joe Gaffiero was then the curator) and I am sure that they ordered books on molluscs. Perhaps you can go and have a look at their library.
Managed to spot a couple which were moving about since my last post. Picture is not very good as the snails kept moving and therefore I could not stack images.

Very nice pictures! It's a very variable snail, both in shell ornament and in size - I myself found the difference between garigue and garden specimens very striking.
