Small plant

Cant figure out what is this tiny plant in fruit. Looks like a Cyperaceaea ?

Looks like something that has a bulb, which does narrow it down considerably I think.

hmmm.... I was thinking on some stunted Juncus bufonius but I think it is not that one.

Please note a scabrous stipule (well visible on the top fruit) which reminds me that of Spergularia (but this is not Spergularia) and is not like that of Romulea which is more elongated. The fruit of romulea is 'barrel shaped'.

Unf this was the youngest of a groupof 12 individuals.

My first instinct too but the fruit was off-putting - unless it was simply stunted (!)

Do not worry, nobody (=nobody ) have identified this tiny plant. Could be something not rare but we are not familiar with the fruit. This situation happened recentely to me on the fruit-bearing plant of Sheredaria arvensis!

I thought the scabrous stipule/bract was a big hint but I cant place anything definitive. I assure you that it is not Romulea (it has different fruit-shape 1 and different valve).

We see next year if it grows again.

I have compared the fruit and looks the same.
