Youch family: Lygaeidae such a big family on our islands.
Could it be the Asphodel bug....Capsodes lineolatus?

Hmmm no... those bugs are more orange-reddish and instantly recognizable. It might a be an uncommon species as I've never seen like it. Did you take any note of the plant it was on?

The plant he's on right now is Medicago polymorpha. I'm not sure if it's the plant he feeds on....

By the way i found this bug on sicilian squill at dingli and i must say this plant is very popular with insects.

Yes, that is Capsodes ! Very frequent on squill and asphodel (the so-called Ermes habitat). Keep those pics coming!
