Hi guys - quite busy here 
After reading first replies of JP and RB on Pistacia/Schinus, I went to re-do my ID hw, and I admit that I am not sure now. At first (hence when I posted the quiz), I believed it was what JP thinks - Ol.....aceae / F......s but on a deeper examination, it can really be Jackpot first guess of a male Pistaccia terebinthus - a first record ever from Gozo.
So it is possible that I have a hole in the net.
Not Caprifoliaceae Glimbo.

So the quiz turned to an Education post now...
Here are 2 pics from Pistacia lentiscus male trees, where the stamen clusters grows from the base of already present leaves. Usually in Fraxinus, they grow indipendently (without leaves present). No Leaf galls observed though it is still early perhaps.
From these observations, I thought that the quiz plant is a Fraxinus, also knowing that Pistacia terebinthus is not recorded from Gozo.
On the other hand, the tree was not very high and rather 'flat' maybe 4m high, which is not very typical for Fraxinus. It was on an exposed hill side, clay but fertile soil type (abandoned fields) and looking W\NW, enjoying almost full sunshine. Habitat with abundant water.
BTW Do you note something unusual on the Pistacia lentiscus ? Looks a bit unusual to my eyes ?!?!

Glimbo, you are right, it got too complex.
We are discussing if it is a male Pistacia or a low form of Fraxinus spp. (Oleaceae). If you have time to go through the posts you could follow well the discussion. The way the anthers are produced at the middle part of the stem below the leaves looks a bit different from how Pistacia lentiscus and terebinthus forms them. To show this I posted images of Pistacia lentiscus, where the anthers are at the base of the leaves.

You are right RB I should cross Fraxinus out of the list though I am not 100% convinced on a male Pistaccia terebinthus for the way the stamen clusters are formed that is well below the leaves and have my impression that they were also formed before the leaves emerged since when I saw the tree back in early Mar, the leaves were young and the plenty of stamens were dry
Maybe this species has a different life-growth from P. lentiscus considering it is dioecious !
