The lobed Argiope

Today I have encountered the Lobed Agriope (Agriope lobata) and like her sister species (the banded Agriope . Agriope trifasciata*) it is a fantastic Spider - large, decorated, wierd, fearsome!


* How would you pronounce 'trifasciata' jackpot :D

Hey MPW i found something very similar to that arachnid you found maybe it's from the same species?

I found this cute thing in an urban area though but not far from countryside.

Yes it is lobata, the abdomen margin is distinctively lobed.
