Needed to go to Gozo for work, and after a 4h meeting I needed to have a break... so spent about 20 min at Ramla.

Thanks for sharing, I did not reckognize pic 2! What is that.

I never seen the last species in such a good shape, probably since I always seen it thirsty and dry in Summer! That is Ononis natrix.

pic 65 is scolymus hispanicus.
o natrix is best in late spring although it will flower throughout the year. any trace of Euphorbia peplis?

Curiously I found a few ononis natrix growing in the grounds of the secondary school at Mtarfa just yesterday - still in flower too.
Could it be there is also euphotbia characias in the area. I seem to recall someone mentioned characias at Mtarfa.

I confirm > rumours < of E. characias in Mtarfa.

Wolf found Euphorbia peplis at Ramla last summer I guess. Here is the link of the post.

According to the Red Data Book, Euphorbia characias was still present there at Mtarfa at that time (1988). I guess that it is still there, since it has not been particularly built up.

Are the reeds at the back of pic 1 Phragmites australis?
