There are also molluscs confined to sand dunes and this species is found only at Ghadira and Ramla l-Hamra where it is found in huge numbers however.

A bit of a correction:

This species is a very common and ubiquitous Cochlicella acuta, not the rare and very localised Cochlicella conica.

Well Cochlicella acuta should have a more pointed shell than those we found, but I certainly am not a guy to talk about shells!
