Congratulations for this report - it was very interesting to read that there are rare species on these small rocks. As you pointed out, these might be the only very few sites without any alien species! If you go again on these islets, I would like to come with you - just for the feeling of being on ...

Illegal Bird Trapping in Spring
I admit that hunting has decrased thisSPring, but there are still several who do not abide with the reglations. I feel that these will soon or later induce other trappers (currently cautious about the situation) to start hunting too. We should do something to increase the sense of 'fear' Is there ...

I would like to see the green wardens in action too (which should have a similar effect as the local wardens). What I suggest for tourism vs. hunting for a start is to ban all hunting and trapping 100m away from any touristic site such as Hagar Qim, Mnajdra, Ggantija, Ghar il-Kbir/cart ruts, and ...

There should be regular checks from environmental officers. If you phone the police the following will happen: 1: Wait an hour or two for police to come (= spoil the adventure) 2: The police might not come at all (= spoil the advanture x 10) 3: The police comes and the hunters flee (= spoil the day ...

More salt on the wound
I agree with wolf and mwp argument. So, because of these hunters and trappers (most probably performing either illegal ownership of the land, or illegal catching of species), the rest 90% of public living on the most beautiful islands of the Mediterranean have to be restricted from going to such ...

Bird Trapping sites - too much
