Congratulations for this report - it was very interesting to read that there are rare species on these small rocks. As you pointed out, these might be the only very few sites without any alien species! If you go again on these islets, I would like to come with you - just for the feeling of being on ...

Illegal Bird Trapping in Spring

I admit that hunting has decrased thisSPring, but there are still several who do not abide with the reglations. I feel that these will soon or later induce other trappers (currently cautious about the situation) to start hunting too. We should do something to increase the sense of 'fear' Is there so...

MEPA - can we build wherever we like

Maybe some member can help me to recognize / name the area where my photo was taken to make it easier forMepa to investigate (if they want) Additionally the country lanes down the sea coast where all marked "Private property...

I would like to see the green wardens in action too (which should have a similar effect as the local wardens). What I suggest for tourism vs. hunting for a start is to ban all hunting and trapping 100m away from any touristic site such as Hagar Qim, Mnajdra, Ggantija, Ghar il-Kbir/cart ruts, and oth...

There should be regular checks from environmental officers. If you phone the police the following will happen: 1: Wait an hour or two for police to come (= spoil the adventure) 2: The police might not come at all (= spoil the advanture x 10) 3: The police comes and the hunters flee (= spoil the day)...

More salt on the wound

I agree with wolf and mwp argument. So, because of these hunters and trappers (most probably performing either illegal ownership of the land, or illegal catching of species), the rest 90% of public living on the most beautiful islands of the Mediterranean have to be restricted from going to such pla...

Was exploring cliffs/valleys of SouthEast of Malta and came accross this shameful thing. A big pipelin dumping plastic-chips and other wastes on the cliff and down the sea. Incredible only in Malta!

Bird Trapping sites - too much

I hate bird trapping sites especialy when they are overcrowded and make an area practically impossible to pass through. These in the photo I attach, takes the whole cliff-top over Fawwara. When the goverment is going to release a map of what is public and what is RTO ? Where are the green wardens to...
