These can be tricky... There are 11+ species inside and outside of pots
A couple of the obvious ones can even be difficult - immature, and in one case, a locally rare ornamental.
Part of the comp will be actually noticing the plants in the photo.
Good luck!!

- There are SIX species here, but... ahemm... I think only 3 are "easy", the rest (and even one of the very obvious) not so.

-

- Up to 7 obvious ones, and if you look in the corners, make that 8.
Again you need to look rather closely to find some, and one obvious one is likely not possible to ID at that stage. - IMG_1299.JPG (117.97 KiB) Viewed 62907 times
-

- I'm expecting 3 species here. Two very easy, one I would consider to be the opposite!

The problem is that there is no price for that bulk! I shall give one entry - Glaucium flavum (1st top part)

Well Stephen you are of course correct, but I'm sure that you can see a lot more that is familiar there...
Pine - No Cannabis there, but a prize for spotting one species which may have been hard to spot - I'm sure that the proper name is now easy.
Ejjew nies!!

JP - I leave these to you!! I am sure you will enjoy some of them... I am just surprised that some of these are rather easy and yet we only have 1.5 id's.

RB dont get much high hopes for participation on the quizes. It's the usual 4-5 who give their input on this section.

No excuses MWP...
Yes Teucrium, but JP, there is now just one unidentified plant in the same photo, and I guess that that one is not easy...
Let me know...

yes RB- I know the one you meant, which you have collected from Anton Gds as a cutting
but I wait for answers because it is still your turn...

I'm not quite sure JP that you know that one... NOT collected from San Anton (which I know which you are referring to...) and yes it is quite similar in leaf form... but these leaves are not downy (furry).
Try again?
Sorry about yours but I have no idea! I don't look so closely at flowers

Is the plant you are speaking about a Malvaceae (eg: Lavatera trimestris)

Yes Malvaceae...
good start!
A tip to redirect JP - To the best of my knowledge, this ornamental is rare/extremely rare here, but not rare in other countries.
In fact, you are looking at the only place where it is known to myself to exist... although obviously "known to myself" is the only fact, I don't have a schedule of all plants in public and private gardens, just that I never ever saw it anywhere except the one private location where those cuttings came from, and a couple of weeks afterwards the source was obliterated.
I have also had an interest in this now-gone specimen for about 20 years, so if it was somewhere else probably I would have noticed.
Have another go and I'll give another clue.

Good start and good end !!

because I (and maybe many) cannot identify a Malavaceae speces without the calyx of the flower. ID from the leaf only is not possible for the humble MWP admini. At least I got the family!

Hehehehe, I positively ID'd this from the cuttings, the bare stems

and from the very vague memory of flower colour, although I only ever saw the flowers from about 20 m distance...
so that is another tip - it is deciduous - the flowers are white-pink, and attached a pic of the stem - so we are equal now...

as i said, for Malvacea we need a flower with calyx (not a stem)
For the rest I give up, they are too much young

OK JP - this is a species belonging to a genus that is one of the commonest ornamental flowering small trees in Malta.
If I give you the flower it is too easy!! (<<another tip)
Last try?
