moss at wied qirda
I found this nice mossy plant at wied qirda - pretty near the place where there is selaginella - but I dont think this is selginella ...so what is it ?
pine - you are usually the expert on primitives and mosses right ?

Dont worry of "being wrong" - the fact you have noticed the moss, took a photo and making some research about is already a lot for the Maltese standard! The forum here has a friendly approach rather than an a stiff accademic one!!
Regards occurance, I can't tell much as I dont have years of experience and never looked closely to mosses. Your best bet is to have a look at the red data book and see if it is listedt here.

Long time no see ! my pic above is the same moss you photographed at incita hux ? ...about a couple of weeks back i shot pics at incita of what looks like a liverwort but i am a qastna on this subject - photos came out awful as well thats why im not posting...
isma i have already a week ago seen orchis collina and spotted orchids in flower - i thought that was pretty early no ? in fact i am thinking of taking a look to see if the beautiful barlia has bloomed already...
global warming will burn us all in the end !!
