Nice colour, wonder whether the variety or the temperature, as they 'common' variety can have some violet in it and at this time of year maybe it is more obvious.

There are some highly fascinating passiflora sp and varieties, some are amazing, in shape and colour, surprised we don't get them here - the most "exciting" I have seen to date is a dark violet flowered version :(

Very easy to propagate by seed.

Taking a second look (while writing a post can't see the pics unfortunately) this is definitely a differently-coloured variety.

It is found at Sant Anton. Do you want the precise location, or want to go for a treasure hunt ?

to give you a hint about the location, they are extremely difficult to photograph. the specimen in st anton are quite unusuall but i never studied them.
i never understood why all the other passiflora are so rare in Malta, expecially the edible ones. they are delicious and as beautiful as coerulea.

Yes, once you bother to cultivate them, it makes sense to cultivate the edible ones and at least get a few nice fruits in return every now and then
