ID please - Pittosporum tobira

Hi there,

This seems to be widely planted. Is this Pittosporum tobira I photographed this on the seafront at Bugibba. if so - yes I know only a small thing but - sin of pride here - I looked at this and thought
Euonymus?
- would an Euonymus by any other name look half as good - to misquote the Bard. :roll:

Satt-guy, Tobira is reported to have the toxic compounds known as Saponins, which are mildly toxic to people (absorption varies from individual to another), while it is definitely more toxic to other animals, namely fish.

Not to decorate your aquarium with ... :shaking2:
