This seems to be widely planted. Is this Pittosporum tobira
I photographed this on the seafront at Bugibba. if so - yes I know only a small thing but - sin of pride here - I looked at this and thought
- would an Euonymus by any other name look half as good - to misquote the Bard.

Satt-guy, Tobira is reported to have the toxic compounds known as Saponins
, which are mildly toxic to people (absorption varies from individual to another), while it is definitely more toxic to other animals, namely fish.
Not to decorate your aquarium with ...
