If they are definitely younger that 18 then instead of taking a photo behind their back (which won't serve much at all) you should have made a phone call to the police.

There should be regular checks from environmental officers. If you phone the police the following will happen:

1: Wait an hour or two for police to come (= spoil the adventure)

2: The police might not come at all (= spoil the advanture x 10)

3: The police comes and the hunters flee (= spoil the day)

4: The police comes, catch them and you have to go to court once, twice, thrice... as a testemony. (= spoil several days)

4b: they get a stupid fine, you meet them again in open land, and than hope that prayers are heard! (= spoil your life!)

When the cat is away, the mice will play (in this case there is even no cat!)

i see youngsters with weapons in Malta all the time. The difference is that older hunters try to keep cool or to bully me out of the area while the teenagers often shoot at me. they must have a lot of complexes they try to overcome by playng with guns.

Another option would be to call Inspector MWP, he would be there in no time at all and everything would be sorted

This has to remain an "insider" joke/thing unless Insp. MWP wants to share, which I will leave to him... maybe he can do so privately hehehehe... he has good experience with dealing with kids...
