For Robcar - Yes close to Mgarr, I guess that plant also is "south of Qala" therefore well it must have quite an ego by now with all the attention.

You may even be right, in a way. I only noticed the edible arti being allowed to seed in Gozo - obvously this also happens in Malta but maybe to a much lesser extent. I noticed this in Xlendi, and also Ramla valley.
Seems Gozitans have different ways of doing things, in many minor "things" (oops that word again, for lack of imagination..).
In fact I grew this this year, from seeds collected in Ramla. Very easy and very fast growing.
So not surprising that the halfies are concentrated in Gozo.
