easy grass ?

one grass species which SHOULD be incredibly easy to identify but which has beaten me so far...this is almost always found in very dry areas of garigue and is mat forming - good stuff to sit on as it is very cushiony ...any ideas ?

looks like the Brachypodium retusum..

thanks MWP - will do some counter checking ...I am trying to identify a few grasses and boy is it difficult !!
