Purple Orobanche

Post by MWP admin » Tue Feb 19, 2008 11:29 pm

I found this species of Orobanche which I conclude to be parasitisng Daucus carota. Can it be the Orobanche lavandulaceae, simple O. pubescens or something else. The flower was somehow poorly developed or 'ugly'

If it were in the UK I'd suggest O.maritima, but might this be O.aegyptiaca ?
