Flowering plant id req'd

Post by satt-guy » Tue Oct 16, 2007 10:58 am

Hi all,
What's the name of the plant in the photo?
This plant makes small flowers highly colourful (red/orange/yellow) and often visited by bees and butterflies.

The leaves and flowers themselves have a very pungent odour.

In my opinion the yellow (and lilac) Lantana is Lantana montevidensis while the common red-orange one with wrinkled leaves is Lanta camara. I can see that the leaves are not very wrinkled in your image.

True, the prostrate Lantana's generally in yellow or violet, are (to my surprise I discovered not very long ago) not camara. But I dont remember what so MWP I assume you are correct!
