Stephen, as you mentioned earlier: rusts are becoming common in Malta, this is particularly due to the ideal climatic conditions found throughout the archipelago. Just out of interest I have recently found Puccinia horiana a severe quarantine disease on Chrysanthemums later I will post a photo of inoculated plants I have at the lab. I have also found a Puccinia spp on cultivated roses, on carnations, marygolds, fennel and thistle all in the last two weeks.
