I sowed some Rue seed (Ruta chalepensis, Fejgel) and anyway the results were very poor, out of hundreds of seed only one germinated - or at least looks like it should be a tiny Ruta. It is just past the cotyledon stage, and still very very small.
Anyway yesterday I noticed a bit of compost on the tiny leaves possibly a side effect of vigorous watering - and tried to remove this. Wow!
The leaflets closed up immediately, and the leaf stalks drooped down such that the leaves lay flat on the ground!

I hope when this grows up it has a nice, friendly personality
