heh I still have to give you a beer, sir Wolf (not on this one). I did not commit myself but at first I was fooled by the white flower. It is interesting to find that albino plant once in a while. The plant I placed for quiz is also strange - G. rotundifolium is usually depicted as having pink flowe...

Lycium

I have some confusing literature here! The bible mentions 2 species - the one mentioned above which as Wolf correctly stated is listed as neither native nor naturalised and a naturalised Lycium chinense . The Red Data Book (1988) states that all the native records of L.europaeum are really Lycium in...

il-Gahan Malti

Well it is true. Unfortunately we Maltese have a very small country with a large population. And besides it is a very lazy society. To get it whilst in a public garden in my home time, whilst sitting on a bench I noticed a whole lot of rubbish just behind my bench! Despite there being 5 rubbish bins...

Polygonum

I agree with Wolf that the species is Polygonum lapathifolium. The leaves of salicifolium I believe are much narrower than that of the photograph.

Trochoidea spratti, Pfeiffer 1846

An endemic species this is found widespread throughout our islands in a wide variety of forms. These were previously described as separate species or subspecies. However, genetics have degraded these as just forms of a common variable species. Nice mollusc.

I managed to identify C = Anagallis arvensis,
D = I think is Arisarum vulgare
E is a Lotus sp.
Y = might be an orchid
Z = Compositae
The rest I will wait till they flower, then I will tell you! (maybe)
