actually its' mwp the expert of the orchids :) I'm not really that fond of the group! however, none, neither the ones on mwp site seem to be S.vomeracea. look at the link below. the main thing i use usually when seeing serapias is that in parviflora the labellum (that reddish thing - qisha lsien) is long sort of like a V. In vomeracea it is more roundish - the middle part is as wide as the outer part so it is not that long.

Homalopoma sanguineum

Posting of a frequent species that is usually found beached. Quite a cute shell despite being just 6mm in size. Found all around our shores. This was found beached at Pretty Bay in February 2010.

Found these photographs in the pc whilst browsing. Found it quite frequent in the eastern coast of Malta. Otherwise did not find it anywhere else.
