A beer - thanks!

Can you make me a list of German beer so as I can choose one! Jokes apart, is that the normal garden Bougainvilla - usually they have yellow tubular florets not pinkish. Very clever to remove the purple bracts (or they are just modified leaves?!) - it confused everyone I think! PS, you are allowed t...

Actually it is not Glabrous

I examined in depth again some other photos of this plant and I could confirm Jackpot that actually it is not galbrous. The stems are covered with very soft erect white hair. The leaves probably the same. What could it be then?

Jackpot, that's the main aim of my site!! But there is a proverb that really applies to the Maltese stupards (=Stupid bastards) - who is born spherical does not die cubical, and I think it is a lost case before even fighting. All the efforts will fall in vain. Most stupards are sellfish or poor, and...

Hair is water dew

Maybe the photo is tricky, but the white hair-like thing is nothing more than dew and water droplets. There is a part in the pic (maybe where I handled the plant to examine it) which has no water droplet (or 'hair') and it is somehow glabrous. I can't personally recall if it is glabrous or not, but ...

It could be but this plant is described to grow in sandy places and near the sea. This was found in the most central part of Malta (St.Venera)!

I have experienced similar situations like this. Sometiems there are micro climatic variations which fools the plant and thinks it is another season. A warm early Autumn can induce Spring flowers to germinate early, and this Autumn was not cruel at all if I remember well. Also a non rainy end of sum...

Updated photo

Here is a new photo of the XYZ section of the pot in full sunshine (december here)

That brown purple centre was some soil. I clened the plant and it has nothing at the centre. The leaves seam to have 3 longitudinal folds, maybe not visible in the photo) and grown to 5cm in length.
