Hi Stephen

Still around, still do a fair bit of walking - but yes very busy and there is a very dark cloud hovering over where I work.... :(
Other than that very little to complain about

btw same colus found again this morning in the large garigue to the north of mgarr - the one which borders the gh.tuffieha road.
i only found one specimen however and i walked with my eyes fixed to the ground....

another swimming creature from wied incita this time....this one holds its tail up and is 5 to 6 cm long ...I am not sure this is the same thing as I had posted under topic "swimming creature at chadwick lakes"

that explains it conch - because at qammieh i remember distinctly i was lying on the ground in a grassy place (actually almost a sort of wetland) so that is where the bugger got me ...and yes if you want to laugh some more it hurt bad !!

it could also be filago cossyrensis which is a sub endemic but am not sure how to diifferentiate between the two. to be fair I have never seen f.pyramidata and have only come across f.cossyrensis very recently - and it was kindly identified for me
