Further Information:
A moth of the family Geometridae which is found throughout Europe, Africa and large parts of Asia. It has a wingspan of 22-28 mm and the forewings are 12-14 mm long. The vestral flies from April to October in central Europe. It flies mostly during night and is attracted to light. The caterpillars live on knotgrass (Polygonum), dock (Rumex) and other low plants.

The caterpillars feed on knotgrass, dock and other low growing plants.
