Further Information:
Reddish-brown moth of the family Arctiidae with a length of 30-35mm. It is common throughout Europe with a number of endemic subspecies such as P. fuliginosa subsp. boerealis in Scotland and P. fuliginosa subsp. melitensis in Malta. Caterpillars are polyphagous and feeds on a number of different herbaceous plants.
