Further Information:
A rather short grasshopper about 2-3cm long with a short abdomen and wingset. The hind wings are reddish and visible only when they are open during flight. This species dwells in desert habitats and is found in Central africa, Mediterranean, and Asia. It prefers garigue or pre-desert scrub habitats in Malta.
