This beautiful moth feeds entirely on the tamarix gallica plant. The larvae is meticolously designed to imitate the leaves of the plant forming perfect camouflage which is very easily overlooked. When reaching the adult stage the moth folds its wings in such a way to resemble dead brown tamarix leaves forming again an exceptionally good camouflage.
